Server Movement Made Safe.
Move server racks from shipping pallets to installation points with zero damage risk. Jtec’s powered and manual data center products handle loads up to 11,500 lbs — engineered for ORv2, ORv3, and ORv3-HPR racks and built to integrate with your existing AGV fleet.
Problems we solve
Protect your hardware from the risks of traditional lifting. Jtec’s specialized carts offer a safer, forklift-free way to move server racks without the vibration or tilt of manual methods.
Hydraulic and electric lift mechanisms raise racks off the pallet and hold them stable during transport — eliminating vibration, tilt, and impact damage from pallet-to-aisle transfers.
E-stops, LiDAR scanners, rack-presence sensors, and motion prevention interlocks protect both your equipment and your team. Every cart is built around zero-incident handling.
Start with a manual data jack for smaller deployments, or go fully autonomous with AGV-integrated carts that connect to your existing tow vehicles. Scale up without replacing equipment.
Data Center Server Carts
Powered and manual server rack movers engineered for safe, efficient rack transport — from shipping pallets to installation points. Every cart accommodates OCP-standard racks and can be customized to your facility’s specifications.
Transfers server racks from shipping pallets to installation points with a rugged steel frame, hydraulic lift, and smart sensor technology. Handles loads up to 5,000 lbs with protective nylon dunnage and swing latches that secure every rack in transit.
Electric lift raises racks one inch off the ground for stable, autonomous transport. Quad-steering and dual steering systems enable precise movement through tight data center aisles. Load-present and rack position sensors automate safe operation.
Moves two server racks simultaneously with electric lift and all-electric quad-steer. Vertical LiDAR safety sensors protect cargo and surroundings. Integrates with any AGV tugger via rear-mounted hitch control, drawing 24V power from the tow vehicle.
Functions like a standard materials jack, purpose-built for server racks. Nylon bay funnels guide and protect racks during loading. A manual latch locks the bay, and rear outriggers with swivel casters provide stability throughout transport.
Hitch controls, retaining straps, rack restraint latches, and integration hardware that connect Jtec data center carts to your AGV tugger and facility infrastructure. Available as individual components or bundled with a complete cart system.

FAQ
How do your carts protect server racks during transport?
Traditional pallet-to-aisle transfers expose sensitive hardware to vibration and tilt damage. Our carts solve this by using electric mechanisms to lift racks approximately 25 mm off the floor, keeping the load completely stable while moving through tight spaces.
What size racks and weight capacities can your systems handle?
We engineer these carts specifically for ORv2, ORv3, and ORv3-HPR rack standards. Depending on the specific cart model, we can handle loads up to 11,500 lbs, while our manual data jacks are rated for up to 4,000 lb capacities.
Can we connect these carts to our current AGVs?
Yes. You can connect our powered carts directly into your existing AGV network via rear-mounted hitch controls. This allows you to start with manual jacks for smaller deployments and scale up to autonomous fleets without replacing your core towing equipment.
What specific safety technology is included?
We design every data center solution to eliminate accidents and hardware damage. Our carts feature e-stops, LiDAR safety scanners, and rack-presence sensors to protect both your personnel and your equipment in crowded aisles.
How to safely transport physical data servers over long distances?
Moving server racks across a data center or large facility introduces two risks that don’t exist with stationary equipment: tipping during transit and floor-level vibration that can stress rack-mounted hardware, cable connections, and drive arrays. The safest approach uses a purpose-built rack mover that lifts the rack a controlled distance off the floor — typically around 25mm — via an electric mechanism, keeping the center of gravity low and eliminating the uncontrolled movement that comes from manually rolling racks on their own casters. For longer distances or tighter aisle configurations, powered walkies with integrated safety scanners and emergency stops give the operator controlled, low-speed movement with automatic obstacle detection. Manual options with high-capacity lift jacks work well for lighter racks or facilities where powered equipment isn’t practical — up to 4,000 lb with the right equipment. Jtec offers both autonomous and manual data center rack moving solutions engineered specifically for in-facility transport — view our Data Server products or request a no-commitment project consultation to find the right configuration for your facility.
How do data centers move server racks in tight spaces?
Tight data center aisles — typically 24 to 48 inches between rows — eliminate the possibility of using standard material handling equipment, which means rack movement has to be handled with purpose-built tools designed around the footprint and maneuverability constraints of a live data center floor. The most reliable approach uses a low-profile powered walkie or autonomous rack mover that lifts the rack just enough to clear the floor — around 25mm — while keeping the center of gravity as low as possible to prevent tipping during transit through narrow corridors, door thresholds, and row ends. Powered walkies with operator controls give technicians precise, low-speed movement through congested areas, while autonomous rack movers with integrated safety scanners handle programmed routes without operator involvement, stopping automatically when an obstacle enters the path. For facilities that need a manual option, high-capacity data jacks rated up to 4,000 lb provide controlled lifting and movement without powered equipment. Jtec manufactures autonomous and manual data center rack moving solutions specifically engineered for tight-space operation.
