FAQs

The Boplan Flip Kick Rail provides ground-level protection for walls, machinery, equipment, infrastructure, goods, and rack ends. Its low-profile rail is positioned where pallet trucks, transport trolleys, forklift forks, and wheels could contact vulnerable assets. The appropriate model depends on the vehicle type, loaded weight, travel speed, impact angle, and required protection area.

Impact resistance varies by model across the Boplan Flip range, from 2.6 kJ to 17 kJ. Selecting a rail based only on appearance or dimensions may provide insufficient protection. The required rating should be determined using the vehicle’s maximum loaded weight, operating speed, possible impact angle, and traffic conditions at the installation point.

Flip Kick Rails are manufactured from Boplan’s flexible Extrilene polymer material. The rail is designed to absorb collision energy and return toward its original shape after an impact. Unlike painted steel, the material is colored throughout, so it does not require repainting when its surface is scratched during normal industrial use.

Modular Flip models can be configured around corners and facility shapes using end pieces, center pieces, universal angles, and 90-degree corner components. Available components depend on the selected rail model. The final layout should account for wall geometry, rack ends, equipment clearances, traffic direction, and any openings that must remain accessible.

Yes. The Flip Kick Rail can guide pallet trucks and transport trolleys through busy lanes while protecting nearby walls, racks, machinery, and infrastructure. It can also help define parking areas and prevent equipment from rolling beyond intended boundaries. Rail placement should account for wheel paths, vehicle clearance, turning behavior, and traffic direction.

Selected Flip Kick Rail models are suitable for indoor and outdoor use, while certain versions are also available for industrial cold-storage environments. Environmental suitability varies by model, so operating temperature and exposure conditions must be confirmed before selection. Installation requirements also depend on the floor material, rail size, and specified anchoring hardware.
