Secure your facility’s most vulnerable access points and critical machinery with our comprehensive range of High-Impact Safety Bollards. Engineered to meet the dynamic safety requirements of modern material handling environments, this series offers a highly customizable defense system. Because every facility zone faces different risk levels, each bollard is specifically rated for distinct strengths and impact resistances. Whether you need to deflect a light bump from a hand cart or absorb an extremely heavy impact from a loaded forklift, this scalable range ensures you have the exact safety solution required for every specific situation.

Boplan Safety Bollards protect vulnerable assets such as doors, entrances, corners, gates, machinery, equipment, infrastructure, and charging stations. Positioned between traffic and the protected asset, they absorb impacts from pallet trucks, forklifts, and other vehicles. Bollard placement should account for vehicle paths, turning behavior, clearance, traffic direction, and the area requiring protection.
Boplan’s main industrial bollard range provides impact resistance from 2.5 kJ to 24.1 kJ. Examples include the BO125L at 2.5 kJ, BO170B at 7.5 kJ, BO200R at 10.2 kJ, BO200F at 16 kJ, and BO250T at 24.1 kJ. Additional specialty bollards have different ratings.
The bollards are manufactured from Extrilene, a flexible, impact-resistant polymer designed to absorb repeated impacts. The post deforms during a collision and returns toward its original shape as the vehicle recoils. This response helps limit damage to the protected asset, vehicle, floor, and bollard compared with a rigid system that permanently deforms.
Selection should be based on the vehicle type, maximum loaded weight, operating speed, possible impact angle, and location of the expected contact. A pallet-truck area may require less impact resistance than a loaded-forklift route. Post diameter, height, clearance, environment, and the asset being protected must also be considered.
Many Boplan bollard models are suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments, while selected models are available for industrial cold-storage applications. Environmental ratings vary by product. The specific model should be confirmed against operating temperature, UV exposure, chemicals, moisture, washdown practices, and other conditions at the installation location.
Most models use a base plate secured to concrete with model-specific anchoring hardware. Selected bollards include a Base Defender that protects the mounting screws from vehicle contact. Anchoring requirements vary by post size and impact rating, so slab thickness, concrete condition, reinforcement, floor joints, and required fasteners should be verified before installation.
