Product Details

The Mother Cart – Pass Through TQDC-40 (Tugger, Quad-Steer, Dual-Bay, “C” Size) is part of our CarryMore system. It features our patented, fully mechanical lift technology, lifting the daughter carts completely off the ground during transport. The true quad-steer design creates superior tracking in transit and allows this cart to make tight turns with minimal walk-in from the first cart to the last in the train.

Premium casters help easily tug up to 4000 lbs and can be pulled in either direction with a quick change of the tongue, and can be arranged to be loaded from either side of the aisle. Carts are easily connected to a standard 2″ ball hitch, which creates a quiet, smooth, and consistent following path.

Maximize capacity with dual bays, allowing you to pull 2 individual carts or one large cart through both bays. Daughter carts can range From 18″ X 33″ To 28″ X 50″ in a single bay or up to 72″ X 50″ as a dual bay cart. The CarryMore system increases safety, productivity, and reduces cost.

FAQs

The TQDC-40 C-Size Pass-Through Mother Cart can tug loads weighing up to 4,000 pounds. Its dual-bay configuration can carry two individual daughter carts or one larger cart spanning both bays. The combined daughter-cart and payload weight must remain within the mother cart’s rated capacity.

Each bay accommodates C-Size daughter carts ranging from 18″ × 33″ to 28″ × 50″. One larger daughter cart measuring up to 72″ × 50″ can span both bays. Final compatibility depends on the daughter cart’s overall dimensions, load distribution, and mechanical engagement points.

The TQDC-40 uses Jtec’s fully mechanical Elemate 1.0 system to engage and lift daughter carts completely off the floor. Once raised, the daughter-cart casters no longer contact the floor, allowing the mother cart to control tracking and movement without hydraulic or pneumatic lifting components.

The true quad-steer design provides consistent tracking and helps the mother cart make tight turns with minimal walk-in from the first cart to the last in a train. Required turning space still depends on the cart configuration, train length, payload, aisle width, intersections, and route conditions.

Yes. The TQDC-40 can be arranged for daughter-cart loading from either side of the aisle. Its quick-change tongue also allows the mother cart to be pulled in either direction. This flexibility supports different line-side layouts and return routes without requiring the cart to be turned around.

The carts connect with a standard 2-inch ball hitch designed to create a smooth, consistent following path. Tow-vehicle capacity, combined train weight, route geometry, stopping distance, floor conditions, and the number of carts should be evaluated when determining the appropriate tugger-train configuration.
