Product Details

The TQDB-40 (Tugger, Quad-Steer, Dual-Bay, “B” Size) is part of our CarryMore system. It features our patented, fully mechanical lift technology, lifting the daughter carts completely off the ground during transport. The true quad-steer design creates superior tracking in transit and allows this cart to make tight turns with minimal walk-in from the first cart to the last in the train.

Premium casters help smoothly tug up to 4,000 lbs and can be pulled in either direction with a quick change of the tongue, and can be arranged to be loaded from either side of the aisle. Carts are easily connected to a standard 2″ ball hitch, which creates a quiet and consistent following path. Maximize capacity with dual bays, allowing you to pull 2 individual carts or one large cart through both bays. Daughter carts can range from 34″ X 34 To 40″ X 50″ in a single bay or up to 96″ X 50″ as a dual bay cart.

FAQs

The TQDB-40 B-Size Dual-Bay Mother Cart can tug loads weighing up to 4,000 pounds. This total capacity applies whether the mother cart carries two individual daughter carts or one larger cart spanning both bays. The combined daughter-cart and payload weight must remain within the rated capacity.

Each bay accommodates B-Size daughter carts ranging from 34″ × 34″ to 40″ × 50″. One larger daughter cart measuring up to 96″ × 50″ can span both bays. Final compatibility depends on the daughter cart’s overall dimensions, weight, load distribution, and mechanical engagement points.

The TQDB-40 uses Jtec’s fully mechanical Elemate 1.0 lift technology to raise daughter carts completely off the floor. A mechanical side-latch design secures the carts during transport. Because the daughter-cart casters no longer contact the floor, the mother cart controls tracking throughout the delivery route.

The true quad-steer design provides consistent tracking and helps the TQDB-40 make tight turns with minimal walk-in between carts in a train. This can reduce the aisle space required for tugger movement. Actual turning requirements depend on train length, payload, tow vehicle, aisle width, and route geometry.

Yes. The TQDB-40 can be arranged for daughter-cart loading from either side of the aisle. A quick-change tongue also allows the mother cart to be pulled in either direction. This flexibility supports different line-side arrangements and return routes without requiring the entire cart to be turned around.

The mother carts connect through a standard 2-inch ball hitch designed to provide a quiet, consistent following path. Tow-vehicle capacity, combined train weight, number of mother carts, stopping requirements, floor conditions, and route layout should be evaluated when determining the appropriate tugger-train configuration.
