The center-steer (diamond orientation) caster positions allows for 2 rigid casters in the center and spring loaded swivel casters centered on both ends. The spring casters allow for continuous ground contact, reducing noise and caster flutter.
These premium casters help easily tug up to 2000 lbs and can be pulled in either direction with a quick change of the tongue and can easily be arranged to load from either side of the aisle. Carts are connected with a standard 2″ ball hitch that creates a quiet, smooth, and consistent follow path. Daughter carts can range from 39″ x 33″ to 66″ x 50″.

The TCSA-20 Center-Steer Mother Cart can tug loads weighing up to 2,000 pounds, including the daughter cart and its payload. Load weight, distribution, center of gravity, tow-vehicle capacity, and route conditions should be reviewed when determining whether the cart fits the application.
The center-steer system uses two rigid casters positioned in the center and spring-loaded swivel casters centered at both ends. The spring-loaded casters maintain continuous contact with the floor, helping reduce noise and caster flutter while the diamond-pattern caster arrangement controls the cart’s movement.
Elemate 1.0 uses a fully mechanical center-latch system to engage and lift the daughter cart completely off the floor. Once raised, the daughter-cart casters no longer contact the travel surface, allowing the mother cart to control tracking without hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical lift components.
The TCSA-20 accepts compatible A-Size daughter carts ranging from 39″ × 33″ to 66″ × 50″. Supported configurations include flatbed, kit, roller-deck, over-under, and refuse-hopper carts. Final compatibility depends on the daughter cart’s dimensions, loaded weight, frame geometry, and Elemate engagement features.
Yes. The TCSA-20 can be arranged for daughter-cart loading from either side of the aisle. A quick-change tongue also allows the mother cart to be pulled in either direction. This flexibility supports different line-side layouts and return routes without requiring the complete cart to be turned around.
